Andrew Jay Halliburton-Qwan

6/29/08 – Andrew just had his two month check-up and is doing well.  He is now 13lbs 4oz, and 23 in long.

5/16/08 – Charming just like grandpa

Slightly hidden by his chubby cheeks, Andrew has the Qwan family dimples inherited from his grandfather. We’re sure he has inherited his grandfather’s charm too, as Andrew has Sabrina, Ansel and the rest of his family already wrapped around his little finger.

Week 2 – Already a big boy!

Andrew just had his two week check up and is doing great. He weighed in at an impressive 9 lbs and measured 22 in long! For a little perspective, Andrew has gained about an ounce a day and at 22 in, he is in the 90th percentile for length/height. Ansel and Sabrina have slightly sore arms from carrying around 9 lbs of dead weight all day, but are excited about the prospect of a tall son.

Week 1 – Mommy’s little glow bug

As with many newborns, Andrew had a bit of jaundice when he left the hospital and looked vaguely like a lemon drop. He was prescribed a strict diet of as much milk as he could hold (his pediatrician specifically said “stuff his little face”) and a bilirubin blanket (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biliblanket). He looked just like a glow bug!

It’s a boy!

Andrew Jay Halliburton-Qwan arrived at 3:55am on his due date, April 25, 2008. He weighed in at a substantial 8 lb. 6 oz and is quite healthy! He wiggles just as much on the outside as he did on the inside, i.e. a lot.

* April 16, 2008 (Week 38 & 1/2)

* April 8, 2008 (Week 37) – Only 3 weeks to go and Sabrina’s tummy has gotten quite round!

* March 8, 2008 – Sarah, my mom and my sister hosted a fabulous baby shower! There were snacks, games, and a ducky cake. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us. A few pictures are below and the rest we’ll post to flickr.

* February 15, 2008 (Week 30) – Sabrina’s tummy has really popped out!

* November 26, 2007 (Week 18)- Here’s a scan from the second ultrasound. We think it has Sabrina’s nose.

* October 2, 2007 (Week 10) – Sabrina just had her first ultrasound. Here’s one of the photos!
Also, she is at 11 weeks on Friday, and the due date is 4/25/08. Everyone’s healthy and happy. Mema says the baby has a big forehead, just like her. The doctor thinks the kid’s going to play soccer, judging by the wiggling we saw on the ultrasound.

* August 20 2007 – We’re having a baby! Ansel and I are happily surprised with the news that we’re expecting our first child!
